Set a Reference Photo

What is Reference Photo?
A reference photo in PhotoAlign serves as a base photo that provides a standard for alignment. Once you set a reference photo, you can align new photos precisely to match the standard size and shape.

Here's how to set:

  1. In the Background Options section, click the right button (pile of photos icon), or right-click on the target canvas to access the context menu, then select Set Reference Photo.
  2. In the file selection dialog, browse and select any reference photo you like.
(The photo will be fitted to the width of the canvas.)
  3. After selection, you can adjust the translucency of the reference photo using the Reference Photo Opacity slider.

Removing a Reference Photo
To remove a reference photo, right-click on the canvas with the reference photo and select the Remove Reference Photo option from the context menu.

Persisting a Reference Photo
If you want to keep the same reference photo with a canvas slot all the time, you should consider customizing templates. Custom templates allow you to define the reference photo as part of the template's design.
