Workspace Overview
The PhotoPort's workspace can be divided into five spaces.
"Badge" is a keyword applied to the patient folder.
"Category" is a 'predefined' keyword applied to the patient folder.
"(Folder) Description" is a one-line, searchable description that can be used for patient folders and subfolders.
"(Folder) Memo" is a non-searchable, multi-line note that can be set to patient folders.
"Tag" is a keyword applied to a photo.
"Class" is to differentiate certain standard types of orthodontic photos. (e.g. facial_right)
Toolbar (A)
The toolbar is where you can find settings and functions related to the overall program.
You can add or change your root folders.
Reload All: Refreshes (updates) the items currently displayed on the screen.
Settings: Displays the global settings window for PhotoPort.
Search Panel (B)
The search panel displays a list of patient folders in the root folder and allows you to search for photos or folders in various ways.
Search by patient name: Finds folders that contain the search term in the folder name.
Search by description: Displays folders and photo items where the search term is included in the "description" field.
Search by filename: Simply shows photos that contain the search term in their filename.
Search by tag: Searches for photo files using tag keywords.
Category filter: Shows only patient folders included in a specific category.
Patient list: Displays a list of patient folders. You can right-click to access additional menus.
Add patient: Click the "Add Patient" button to easily create a new patient folder entry.
Root badge list: Allows filtering of patient folders by badge.
Top Panel (C)
Primary folder: A list of the top-level folders within the patient folder. You can right-click to access additional functions.
Subfolders: A list of subfolders within the primary folder of the patient folder. All subfolders are displayed in that list.
Local tags: A list of tags within the patient folder. Clicking a tag will display only the photos that have that tag.
Collections: These are photo collections stored in a separate folder, independent of patient folders, organized by specific themes.
List View Screen (D)
This section displays the information and files related to the selected patient or folder.
When selecting a root folder, the list and information of patient folders are displayed in card format. When selecting a specific patient, all subfolders and photos for that patient are displayed at once.
In the upper patient bar, you can view the name, description, and memo for the patient folder. You can also access 'patient folder-level' features such as external folder or program links, AI auto-arrangement, etc.
In the list section, all subfolders and individual photos within the selected patient folder are displayed at once.
Hovering the mouse over a photo allows for quick rotation or flipping, and you can right-click to view additional menu options.
Action Panel (E)
This section displays information and possible actions as buttons for the selected patient folder or photo files.
The displayed buttons vary depending on whether the selected item is a folder or a photo, and whether it is a single or multiple selection.
